Actually Time faulter, you must come over at some point and meet the gang, and I'll let you ride Odie as well, considering your the jumping person, I'll video, you can jump him! I've not seen him jump yet!
I would ride as it's lovely and bright here now, but the hunt are due here in 30 minutes and I don't want to have an unexpected hunting session and get dumped in this mud
Plus it's really hard to ride at the moment with 6 workmen on diggers crawling round the place

Sounds like a plan to me. Must check my busy SJ schedule, and the wifes Stressage / training schedule, and daughters stressage / traing schedule....................
Are you free 22nd December (2011)?
Seriously I should do as you're just up the road from me i think
I'm afraid I'll be a bit far away in 2011 unless you also want to tie this in with a holiday to spain! (moving next year) Check the schedules etc, bring the wife, have a play on the horses and there is a very nice pub at the bottom of the road for lunch afterwards!
And yes I'm not that far at all!
I'd only have hacking anyway, and as it's blowing a gale atm I just wouldnt risk it. I wouldnt mind getting wet and cold, but the wind means you can't hear traffic round the lanes so too dangerous.
Beautifully sunny but cold here today, so I have hacked out. Sov was like a loon even though he was ridden yesterday, and Emerald who has been ridden for 2 weeks (and been in his stable since Tuesday!) was an angel! It nice to get out and not be trying to beat the darkness!
I rode both days this weekend and got soaked! Don't have an arena so hacked but even if I did, I would have chosen to hack!
Have now ordered a new more waterproof coat! Pony had exercise sheet on and was more than happy to go out. A bit of rain never hurt anyone. Well it was a lot of rain but even so!!
Although I was soaked to the skin literally and my hands had gone wrinkly!!
Well i've decided to ride later.... child can muck out!!! He's a rather well trained child! Think even tho its blue skies at the moment, time would be better spent on tidying up the house - all done from the reaches of a laptop! Good job its wireless!
Its lovely here but I'm off work sick. I never dare to ride on these days even if i felt well enough incase I fell off, got injured and had to try explaining it.
You don't give the option of "Yes, I have indoor and outdoor arena but am happy to hack, whatever the weather" which is the camp I fall in. Bit of rain never hurt anyone (unless you're ill already, then get pneumonia from being cold and wet and immunity low etc etc etc...).
I hacked out yesterday in the rain, don't really mind. Just don't like the clay ground round me as it gets so heavy.

Same goes for me, went out in the driving rain on saturday, if I was a fair weather rider I'd never ride! Although I must admit drying off afterwards is easier when I wear a full length wax jobby and he wears a waterproof exercise sheet.
Go on rub it in... indoor and outdoor!!! Not fair! It was torrential rain here and howling a gale and as bombproof as my boys are, there was no way I was riding in that! however its blue skies now, so I might after battling with the housework, get myself up the yard!
Still fine here, and have ridden.
Pony was very lazy & ignorant to my leg.. which considering shes been out once in 6 days might imply shes a bit too laid back!
I caught one of the few dry spells yesterday for my hack, we did get a bit wet but once I'm on I never notice it! I had too much fun anyway with the little coloured!
Today Mother and I are hacking again, I'm on a different horse though and he hates going out in the rain - in fact he hates anything! Any excuse... anyway it's dry here and windy and bloody freeeeezing so I'll be wrapping up and off in half an hour.
Tomorrow morning am hacking the coloured again, it's meant to be dry and cold.
If it's really howling and I really don't want to ride, I won't. No point as I ride for fun and if it isn't fun I shouldn't be doing it! I will ride in the rain sometimes though, eg. yesterday first time riding a new horse so I wanted to and it wasn't too bad really.
although am now on the lookout for the culprit who has stolen my horse and given me a responsive one that doesn't argue all the time.....rewards given if seen
