Its raining and pouring...

We are okay at the moment. But lots of rain forcast later and through half of the night. But it is going to be much brighter tomorrow, though cold. Will need to put thicker rugs on my two who are out 24/7 as it is set to drop below freezing tonight.

Horrible here again, the sky is black, it's windy & cold. We have it tomorrow aswell, but Thursday is meant to be nice

Its just hailed so hard here my spaniel started yelping as we ran for cover!!! And Buddy is out nudey!! However he is on a major diet so he might loose and inch or two today :o mean mum. More clouds and blackness heading our way, though we have restbite for now.

Please will someone give me heads up to when summer is starting as i'm thinking of hibernation!!

Its freezing out there today in the wind! Roll on Summer and some proper decent sun! I'm bored of still bringing in at night, rugging and having to buy haylage!

we have sun and wind but tbh all we have had recently is rain so we are due a good hour or two !

what is really scary is the fact the fields are totally dry (except 1 gateway) are they are clay - they must be right about the water table being soo low ! I will be wanting rain again within a week (ducks and runs for cover)

I am also amazed at how quickly the fields have dried up. They are starting to crack again in places. It's going to be a cold and blustery night, but my two are staying out, rugged of course.

Wish Buds could go out, we just have SO much grass! The baldest paddock is filled with 4 ponies that need desperate starvation grazing due to lami so Buddy is out with two others and is on strip grazing for half a day then in with a small net for the rest of the day then exercised then another net and small feed at bed time. It sucks! He's fine, doesn't care. but i just wish he could be out on a nice bare paddock 24/7. He's loosing weight on his routine but the grass isn't going down. More warm wet weather means more lovely lush grass. Y/O is thinking of getting some sheep into one of the turnout feilds to eat it down as we just can't afford to let the horses in at this volume of grazing.

Sick to death of this weather, I need some sun on my back never mind the horses, they just want out of their rugs, resorted to feeding in the field just to keep them out of the muddy access to the barn, ground so saturated, we have a stream running through the barn as water has nowhere else to run, be careful what you wish for, during the hot spell I prayed for rain

I don't mind a BIT of rain but no more thunder and lightning and no hail please! We set off out on a hack after standing in the shelter waiting for the rain to ease off, and the noisy light show commenced! Hack cut short to about 15 minute pony ride with some epic sideways spooks, oh well at least we got out and I poo picked miserably in the rain so I could be more justified in feeling hard done by :-)

I reeeeally want to go and explore properly now me and share horsey have established nothing scary will happen if we don't go beyond the standard hour circuit! I don't want the ground to be so boggy either (although it does make her magically more responsive to my 'slow down' aids!)

And my old man is snoring....hence why I'm awake again and on here:-/ (And it hailed here yesterday afternoon-boooo! We want sunshine !!!

Think I'm gonna need armbands for the little Shetland if it rains anymore! Poor little lad will be swimming! (and he's only 2, hence the armbands needed ;) )
