Having not been able to ride for over a week, due to a rather scary bout of vertigo, I'm pleased to say I enjoyed a lovely hour and a half hack this morning.

It felt so good to be back on board. The tablets are working and I'm now pretty much "normal".

To finish off my return to "normality" I clipped Patches after riding, pulled her mane and generally just pampered her.

Here she is, tidied up and back in her stable.

You will note that she refuses to let me clip her moustache!

Oh hun, I didn't know you had been poorly!

Poor you, vertigo isn't very nice at all! Dub's suffered with it and it really knocked her for six.

It's amazing the amount of people that get bouts of it. My sister in law and a friend both seem to get reoccurring amounts of it too.

I'm glad the tablets so quickly, I bet you have felt terrible not being able to ride.

Patches looks as lovely as ever!

I love the way you said so nonchalantly "I clipped Patches"!!

It was only last year that you had a battle to even turn them on near her; what a long way you've come together!

Glad you're feeling better, vertigo is nasty.

Isn't it funny how you quickly take these things for granted? I've almost forgotten how clipper phobic she was. I've a feeling that anyone could've clipped her though if they'd tried with cordless clippers. It didn't take that long for her to "come around" to accepting them.

Of course, clipping below her knees is another matter!

Gah, it shocks me to say this, but she's rising 10 now.

She was only 7 when I had her, which will be three years ago the beginning of this forthcoming July.
