Well the rain has subsided and although the ground is wet I'm loading up the lorry, picking up my friend and heading for Cannock Chase Whoop!

What are you all planning today?

So far today I have bitted, saddled, sat on and walked about on 2 shetlands that have never done sich things before! I hopped on my established shelty mare much to her disapointement, for the first time this year. I am now about to let the tb's out to play before riding them, riding my shelty gelding, restarting my other shelty gelding who did some walk and trot last year and hopefully getting back on the welsh cob too. All before working at 7pm.

And then that will probably be it for the week as its supposed to tip down up here all this week!

Just off for a run, will grab some lunch and then have 3 horses to ride this afternoon.

Also, now the horses are out, I need to do the menial task of washing out and disinfecting stables (been putting it off for a while).

Very boring Just finished doing the mowing, have 4 loads of washing in the garden, paddock shovelling and rawort digging this morning. Now waiting for DD to ring to say which train from London to Peterborough she is going to try and get!

Was meant to be at miserden fun ride but no transport as van gearbox broke and being repaired, just glad we didn't break down with horses in it as it started failing just as got home last Sunday after Cirencester funride. Instead I have hacked fatty, dyed hair (mine not his), washed bedding and cleaned house! Just sat outside in shade for bit of lunch.

Horse with usually solid feet, has somehow in the last 2 days, chipped & broken up big chunks off her hooves :( Farrier pulled a sickie yesterday so she's had a bath instead of off jumping today

P isn't quite right at the moment & physio is coming out next week, so no riding for me at the moment. So, this morning I just mucked out, gave him a good groom and solo combed his mane, sorted out my storage area & got everything ready for him for tonight, as my parents are kindly bringing him in and putting him to bed as I'm out for dinner and a cheeky drink or two in a Brighton.

Oh, I went to the saddlery too - as P's a hooligan and broken another nut ball, so got him a replacement ball as he loves it so!

I've worked this morning and ridden out one lot, now sitting around until about 3 to go and chase the pony round in circles as I can't ride her because she has a sore mouth :( So annoying, the one bit she accepts and goes really well in pinched her so bad she's had to have time off and I don't have a bitless to ride her in :/ Then back to work at 4.30 and after that, sleeping!

What a lovely day! Went for a fabulous hack (meeting a whole herd of topless running men - cue startled horses!) then washed the winter grease out of the horses mane and tails.

Horse had a relaxing morning in the field whilst I ran 12 miles x-country and got covered in cow *****!!

Taken my elderly mare and my mini for a walk round the village. Took a long time as everyone wants to say hello to the little one as she looks soooo cute..

Hack to the shops this morning - accompanying my friend who's horse is just getting back into work - so the shops was an adventure as it's a bit further than the end of the road!

Cut the grass, chopped the daisies down, planted some geraniums - still got to do the edges.

Cleaned Bertie's abscess twice (abscess came up on Thursday night, popped Friday night, so vet Saturday morning for antibiotics). Not nice as full of pus and blood, but he's been a relatively good boy about me cleaning it. No walks for him today, so just need to walk Jasper, which I will do after I have made some chilli! Oh, and cleaned the kitchen as it is a tip and needs the floor washing.

Having a great day :)

Went to a show this morning and my youngest daughter entered her very first lead rein jumping. Quite a few in the class and she came 2nd, so proud :)

My other daughter rode Roberto (first time ever ridden at a show) and entered the clear round and a mini class. He managed to jump them as though they were 5ft but some were a bit too scary! Great first attempt though.
Then did my tasmanian devil round the supermarket and spent the rest of the day just chillin'

Went for a lovely hack first thing this morning on a route neither of us had done before and we only loosely knew the way so it was a bit of an exploration trec, lol :)

Pony was awesome as usual. So many gates, a few I had to get off and back on at as they weren't very horse and rider friendly (was on a bridle path route though) and it involved more road than I had been told and to be honest although the route itself wasn't wonderful and I probably wont do it again until we are doing our fit work for hunting it was just nice for he and I to be out and about. I LOVE my horse he is AWESOME beyond belief :o

Took my daughter and the Connie to a hunter trial at East Bysshe, they came 3rd in the 1m, really proud of them as both a bit ring rusty and as it was fastest time was never going to beat the horses. It is a really nice course for anyone interested, near Lingfield.
