Red-1
I used to be decisive, now I'm not so sure...
Set out on a ride, and was loving it so much I rang home and asked OH to wait a while then pick us up a long way off so we could have a new ride.
We met a herd of bullocks trying to chase us, a pig farm (very stinky), three HUGE motorbikes (the ones with chrome and panniers and men with long hair sitting up, and one had a TRAILER in too).
Jay then met his first train. It was a 125 loooooong one as we approached the crossing. He was interested but cool, so I went and struggled to press the button for the man to come and do the gates. He said there was another coming, so we dropped back a bit, and he found the second one so "yesterday", not even worth looking at.
The rubber mats and lines were a bit more worrying to him, so I dismounted and led him over, then there was another train so we waited whe the gates were shut again, had them open again (nice crossing man) and rode across and back, the first time at a rousing trot, the second time he had a handle on it and was fine.
This was the furthest we had ridden out, and after a while Jay was a bot nonplussed that we had not yet turned to home. The relief when Jay's Taxi turned up was funny. Nice lorry, water, daddy, everything. It was a narrow lane so quick stop, ramp down, horse on, and go.
I love days like today. Competitions are great, but on days like today Jay just feels so reliable. It was a mini adventure.
