Mine is booked in for 2 weeks time! I'm terrified too but when I get scared, I just think how many they do every year and how many of them go absolutely fine!

I have sent 2 rescues in today to be neutered and have 1 hare arsing around my garden that was done about 5 days ago, I think she rested for all of 2 hours then she was rearing to go

All my own 10 dogs neuter op's went very smoothly and must say have never had a prob from the 5 million rescue we have done throughout the year

Chloe drags me down the stairs to the vets, they give her so many treats that she thinks its play time! The people in the vet think I'm the main problem - probably from the time I was in floods of tears a week after we got her thinking she was breathing funny, gasping, took her in at midnight and she just had a full tummy from eating a mouse.................!

I really admire the people at my vets - Lansdown Vets in Stroud btw, highly reccommend them! - because they spend so much extra time giving her cuddles and treats and rubbing her tummy, which they don't need to do but it makes her so much less stressed!

As a puppy Otto had to attend "youth clubs" at the Vet's so that he got used to going to the Vet's and being on the table but having nothing done apart from a fuss, a treat and going on the scales. All completely free too, I'm sure that's why he likes it there now, that and the fact he loves attention!

For those of you not in the know this is the official name for running that has no purpose, haphazard, swervy and usually a bit bouncy....particular to lurchers but not limited to

My Lizzie's going in on friday for hers too and I'm not so worried about the spay, it's the not feeding her before! It makes me feel like the worst dog mother in the world
