I've absolutely seen it all now!

This was an incredible difficult decision says the owner yeh right, just looking for a mug to keep this dog for free, its truly sickening and I feel so sorry for this dog, what a horrible owner.
 
So you pay him £250 for a bitch he wants to have back and have 3 litters from, words fail me ! Poor dog, lets hope she ends up in the right hands.
 
This is sometimes done by breeders (of purebred dogs not mongrels I should add), when they wanted the dog to have a home environment, or sometimes when people can't afford the full price of a really well bred dog. Generally it is just one or two pups back out of one, maybe two litters. My friend currently has a extremely well bred german shepherd, she was imported from Germany by her owner and after a while he found she wasn't happy in kennels. So my friend has her and is training her for IPO and working trials. She will go back to the owner for one litter, and then becomes my friends outright . This as I said is a bitch worth possibly thousand. For someone to be asking for 3 litters back, and money, for a crossbred dog is just unbelievable, I bet they don't have to work! A good way of getting round breeders licence etc too I suspect.
 
ditto, my Aunt and Uncle had a Gordon setter bitch under similar conditions (breeder showed her too) puppies didn't actually happen at the end.

but a 'generation hobby breeder' doesn't make me think well of them :p.
 
I have been offered a lab bitch on breeding terms, so as MM says it isn't uncommon. Pretty little dog. Mongrel factory!
