*BAD NEWS*

I have had such a sh1t day but such a fab one!

My yard is basically a farm, not a livery yard so you have to do everything yourself.

Farmer is lovely, his wife is lovely, his son is useless and a complete kn0b!
Have always got on with the 3 of them though- i stay out the way.

My friend up the yard asked if we could clear out some stuff in a barn (she asked farmers wife) farmers wife agreed so we went up today and started early at 9am shifting though the years of rubbish and years of rat and mice pooh.
We had just about finished when the son came round the corner shouting the odds at us 'touching his stuff' confused- we tried to explain and he said we have to leave, hes 'had enough of us trying to take over'

*Please bear in mind we are two 24yo girls!! Taking over what exactly i do not know!* Hes 45+ living with his parents who he forced out of retirement because he messed up the farm to the brink of bankrupcy!

-And ive been there for almost two years with never a problem!

We went and saw farmers wife who said we confused which barn we could clear out, ok, so simple lack of communication but kn0bface farmers son said we had touched his stuff and he wants us gone in two weeks!

The farmers wife just stood there and said sorry, what can i do! WHAT CAN YOU DO?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point i lost my temper, as did my friend and said this was a communcation error, your son is overreacting and is this some sort of sick joke. She said 'he wants you out'
We replied 'Its your decision, its your farm'
She answered 'Its too late'

Then kn0bface piped up that he wants me to leave (not my friend), even though my friend was the one involved he thinks i was the one who caused it all.. at that point i walked off.

So @ midday today i was in tears at the thought of rehoming my 3 horses and 4 day old foal.

*GOOD NEWS*

By POT LUCK we bought the adtrader and found an advert for a private yard.. we rung up and advert only went in today and we can go visit... OMFG

We have 6 acres split into 3 2 acre paddocks, our own new stables (two) lockable tack room, hay/straw space, feed room, private entrance and use of an olympic sized menage with jumps.
Its hackable to our local RC AND hackable to the hunts meet!!! wooohooooooo!!
Obv my friend is coming with me, they have now lost 5 horses worth of money.
FOR CHEAPER THEN WE WERE PAYING AT OUR CURRENT SH1THOLE!

Obv we've taken it and guess what... we move friday- they can shove there two weeks in their pipe and smoke it!!

wooopppppppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Someone from above was definatly watching down on me this afternooon!!

excellent, amazing how things work out, isn't it? sounds as if he was just looking for an excuse, you're better out of there.

It is bl00dy amazing sometimes!! There was 100% someone looking down on me today- ive now got to go up tonight and pack my stable into my car as ive got a wedding tomorrow.

I just hope TO GOD noone hurts my babies in the meantime- there are a few people up there that i do not trust at all and im sure farmers son has informed them im leaving so they can continue to abuse and neglect there own sodding horses.

I havent told them WHEN im leaving yet, as if i tell them late thursday then by the time the transport arrives friday morning it'll be too late for anyone to try anythng.

if i was you i would not tell them when you're leaving. I would just let the transport turn up and go.

I had the same thing on a farmers yard. There was only me and my friend on there and I had my youngster turned out to grass. I asked the farmers son if he wouldn't mind making sure he shut the gate properly as the horses had got out on to the yard the previous week. He said "oh ok" and then 1 hour later left the gate open and the yard gate too so all 5 horses went off down the main road. I was on my own and had to go fetcht them but not before telling the YO that his sun was a f*cking p*ick. lol All of the horses were caught and a friends son helped me bring them back and then the son said oh sorry I thought they were in there stable. What a f*cking liar I said you drove straight past them in the field I SAW YOU!!! I moved my horse the next day and YO asked my friend what was up with me!!!!!!!!!!!
She said that I wanted to sell my youngster not shovel it up off the road.

Glad things worked out for you, sounds brilliant.

....sometimes you've just got to believe in fate...

Good for you, the new yard sounds fab

!! But if you don't trust the people up there I wouldn't tell them when your going I'd just go. I had this at my old yard, the YO's family were a *little* dodgy so I left up until the end of the weeks livery money in an envelope, didn't leave any mess and had me and the ponio out of there before they had any idea!!

-They'll know im leaving as there house is smack in the middle of the farm... but they gave me my two weeks notice so they know im leaving in that two weeks so im not going to tell them!

They'll know when the big lorry turns up friday morning!!

glad you have found somewhere so quickly and as sarah said dont tell them you are going, if they ask why you are moving stuff already just say you doing it bit by bit so you dont have to move all your gear and the horses on the same day.

Glad things sound to have worked out for the better, but I wouldn't give any notice at all, after all they have already given you very short notice so just start moving your stuff, and when the transport arrives have the agreed rent ready and load and go.
If they really make a fuss offer to pay one of the week's rent but not two.
I'm all for respecting liveries and yard owners but in this case, they don't deserve anything other than you moving without being rude to them about how they have behaved.

i wouldn't pay them more than i stay either, they wanted u off and ur going so they can deal with the consequences, they dont deserve any extra cash. I never understand how some (or all that i've known) YO's can be such idiots and so agressive when its their livelihood at stake... 4/4 yards ive been on have been idiots who kick people off at the drop of a hat (not me incase anyones thinking sour grapes).
Anyways private yard sounds lovely and a much nicer environment for your new foalie to grow up on

Hope it's as lovely as it sounds and the people are nice
