I've definately decided.....

...that my next steed will be a pony!!! I've been having so much fun riding a pony at my yard and today, because both boys are out of action, I've been to have a riding lesson. The horse I was going to ride had gone lame and so had to ride a 14.2 What a complete dude!!!! Had a cross country lesson on him and continued around the course - once he had a flow he was awesome!

Definately getting one next time.....

I'd be embarassed to be seen near anything native.
I wouldn't even let my horses go in a field with one, they are so repulsively short and hairy. It could be contagious...

Ive seen more repulsively short and hairy people than ponies.Our llittle welsh cob is a much faster forward going ride than my big tb,love them lol

i was riding a 13.3hh highland today. loads of fun, especially being able to muck about like a kid again on her. riding jockey length

my legs hurt

Ponies rule, I've just a 14.2 heavyweight cob on part loan, I'm 5'4" so can easily get away with it. She's great fun to ride.

I have a native cross arab, but then I am short (not sure about the hairy bit) so we probably suit each other!!

It is contagious - he demanded a companion when his old friend left and we ended up with a shetland - two hairy pony types, I must be a glutton for punishment!!

This is why I keep getting the odd "project pony" - ponies are so different from horses so I always feel I need one around for some fun!
