Cat toy!! OH discovered it the other day - dragging a schooling whip around the house sends our cat into paroxisms of delight and is especially good when stuck under a rug. He is getting very good at guessing where it is coming out the other side.
I urge you cat owners to bring your schooling whips home and join the fun.
If you twirl it in just the right way, you can create a 'donut cat' - OH likens it to stirring the froth on your posh coffee.

Hee hee, works wonders on my labrador as well, give him a lunge whip and he's happy as larry! He LOVES chasing it and snapping at the tail at the end! He also loves holding onto the handle and dragging it around and shaking his head so that it snaps! LOVE IT!

Ha ha our Ragdoll loves playing with a schooling whip

Best toy ever! Nothing like watching a massive Ragdoll try and hide behind a shoe so the whip won't see him

The British Shorthair on the other hand enjoys watching it....

OH wants to market it as the ideal toy for little old ladies who are not very mobile. Last week, I was recovering from riding injury and lying on the sofa. Schooling whip in hand, I hardly had to even flick my wrist and I had our cat leaping all over the living room like a black streak.

lol, our cat is a yard cat anyway, when he was stuck in the stable as a kitten we would always play with him with the lunge whip, he lunges very well actually.

He thinks he is far too grown up a boy now mostly but will still play with it occasionally!

Our yard cats at home do that - all 4 of them - only time they are social is when you get the whip out!!

And i have another novel use for my schooling whip that i found in summer - use it as a sweatscraper when someone has nicked yours!! (poss best not to try on "normal" horses - my cob was not phased by anything so worked wonders!!) :P
