Having lurked for a few years I have finally gotten fed up of reading posts and not being able to reply so have given in and joined the fun.

While I'm at it I thought I would just post a few pics of my girls.
Any excuse to show them off and how much they have changed.

Tess before I bought her in March 2008 aged 8

I think they look much better (but I am biased :D)

Thank you, and what a lovely madhouse it is too :D

I have the only horses on the yard who arent bay or black.

Tess was sold to me as a fjord and whilst I'm pretty sure there is some fjord in her there is definately something else in there too

Pictures don't show it but every time Saff's coat changes she get a little bit more roany. I was afraid she would grey out at one point. Keeping greys grey isn't one of my strong points. (Duns hide muck well :o )

Tess looks quite like a Highland to me. They have both improved beyond recognition almost under your wing. Welcome to the Forum by the way

My initial reaction was the same, she looks Highland to me, wouldn't have considered Fjord, love the difference between the wooly winter Highland and the smooth summer Highland, it's like a shampoo advert....because she's worth it!!!!!

Thank you very much for your compliments. Lots of people say highland when they see Tess. I bought her from a dealer who brought horses from belgium, all fjords or haffies. I have got import papers and I assume there aren't that many highlands over there but I could be wrong

I dread to think how she was kept before to get that poor and run down cos she is a fatty now on next to nothing!
