The Fuzzy Furry
Old Timer
Tonight, went to the yard after work as usual.
5.30pm, dismal, just stopped raining
Caught up the 2 fuzzies & tied them in the yard (novelty, as big fuzzy tends to play with ropes when outside & I usually pop them in stables for brush over & feet pick most days).
Thought I'd be fine as only whipping off a lw rug, brushing off & replacing rug & lobbing them back out again.
2 mins I hear you say?
Yeah.......
Got a call from a passing person who was asking about livery yards so popped to main gate to help out (as you do).
5 mins later whilst still chatting & having forgotten the fuzzies slightly, I hear feet approaching & turn round - to see little fuzzy loose & pottering to feed room.
Watching, I see little fuzzy open the door (not bolted as had only just grabbed waterproof coat from there) & then saw fuzzy stick head in & then emerges with a feed bucket in teeth!!
Plonks it out on the yard & sticks head back in again - neck disappearing too.
Now, sniggering at the affrontery, I can only watch as big fuzzy comes quietly down the concrete & picks up the empty feed bucket & waves it in teeth - whilst little fuzzy comes back out of feed room with another empty bucket!
Now, these 2 have NOT had any hard feed since spring, living off grass as little fuzzy OAP & is now retired, big fuzzy has enough zip & fat to keep going much of the time.
Little fuzzy has never untied itself, EVER.
Big fuzzy looked a tad embarrassed when shuffling down the yard, but gleeful when waving feed bucket around.
I wish I'd had a video camera going as just stood there giggling at them both.
They have pulled the right strings, so a handful of chop tomorrow with a teeny sprinkle of mix over it for flavouring eh?
Got to give in to HUGE hints like that!
