I should be so very happy and jumping for joy, but I'm feeling it would be very insensitive at this moment.
The Queen, a lover of horses, I'm sure would just smile and approve so I'll just quietly announce it here, rather than on FB, where my non horsey friends would not approve.
Anyway, (I need help getting photos on here) a lovely little black mare arrived to be part of my life. I did something that is definitely not recommended and purchased off of a video. I was so nervous, there were many 'what ifs' (a wild palomino mustang stallion leaping off the lorry was an image that crept into my head!!) Incredibly early days, but her very very sweet temperament has won me over already. She loves polos, and people and isn't fussed with squealy little pony friend.

BUT, she doesn't have a name. I like Ciara, (irish meaning dark haired), but with todays news, if someone can come up with a Royal connection that fits, I'd be thrilled.
 
Congratulations, I hope you have a lot of fun together. I too was going to suggest Burmese, or maybe Peggy who I think was the Queen's first pony. I really struggle with pictures, all I can manage is post to FB on "only me", open in a new window and save as a download then you can post as an attachment on here. That's for the laptop, no idea on phone.

Congratulations on your new mare ..she looks lovely. My black mare’s coat can shift colours depending the season/coat changes/nutrition.
So glad your bought from a video purchase has turned out fab ? look forward to more pics!
 
September is a lovely month to get a new horse.

I got my first ever horse eight years ago this month and it was one of the most special moments of my life. He is a very, very dark bay horse a bit like yours who looks black in winter and who fades to brown dapples in summer. I'm very fond of that colour and your girl is gorgeous.

PS i have a very good friend called Ciara with dark hair so i approve of the name. But if you are thinking of a royal connection, what about Queenie (or is that disrespectful? My apologies if so.)

I suggested that too, i think thats a perfect name ?
