Riding lesson started well but Alf seemed to be moving oddly and huffing. Look up shouts RI. Why's he doing that I ask. Oh he's just breathing she said. Continue trotting ..seems odd somehow. Something feels wrong I say. Uum, says RI I think he's a little lame. Let's change to another mount. Out we roll mr whizzy. He's keen to go so we do an impersonation of the wall of death on horseback. Finally settled down and did some lovely sitting trot. Rewarded with cool wash down, horse not me. Gave his apple treat which he had to share with his mates who are all looking longingly at me so I can't say no. Drove off thinking 'that was a good lesson' then 3 mins down the road a mini van taxi drove straight into me completely mashing the side of my car. Oh he says I did look and I didn't see you! Sods law meant that for once I have no phone hence no contact details for anyone. Luckily saved by kind lady who saw what happened and called police then used my phone to call rescue. I was too shaken to find the numbers which I might add were minuscule anyhow. Taken home by very kind policemen who stayed with me until the recovery man arrived. Still shaky but uninjured and have discovered that coffee is not good for shock. Flowers on way to kind woman who stopped to help.
