yes it is possible for horses to wind suck without needing an object. but he prefers to wind suck on something. He is not overly addicted to wind sucking, i think he just started it because he was bored. he doesn't bother trying to do it in the field Because he is ethier running riot or eating.
My daughter has nick named him the odd horse because he can be really stuborn somtimes.
