I loved it! I borrowed a pony (13.2!) from a friend of a friend and went out with the NECDH, I had the best day ever! Ive totally got the hunting bug and cant wait to go out again

North East Cheshire? What was the ground like? It's not risen above freezing here all day. I thought hunting would have been cancelled today.

DB you should just go for it! Ive been putting it off for years because of my nerves but everyone was so nice and theres a way around most fences if you dont want to jump.

Yep North East Cheshire, the ground was just about ok, frozen in places and very deep in the places it had defrosted but it was bearable. The pony I was on did sink upto his knees at one point though!
 
I was going to take my mare for the first time today - but the ground has been pretty solid all day, so I am glad that I didn't. I would have been well gutted if I broke my girly on her first outing!!

Well done you though - and glad you enjoyed yourself!
