I just don't know what her problem is today! I think she must have been listening to the Cha Cha Slide overnight - shy to the left, shy to the right etc

As always, I wasnt carrying a whip (I know, bad form for a horse beater

) so had to rely on legs and seat - LOL, that was a joke - every time I put my leg on we ended up doing a strange crab like motion across the road. So I took her for a gallop, thinking she could get her silliness out of her system, and she promptly tried to buck me off, so all along the far side of the field I was hanging on for dear life and yelling and growling at her every time she spooked (which was very, very often)

So all in all, we had an eventful ride (although we did manage some nice trot steps on the way home - somehow she always seems to show off her best paces when she's in a pissie - it's just a case of getting her going in a straight line

Oh yes, and then just to top it off, I let her wander round the yard when I was mucking out. Mum bought three clematis plants the other day, and they were resting against the yard fence....well I suddenly heard lots of clattering, and Ellie was charging round and round the yard with a clematis plant and two bamboo sticks dangling from her mouth! The poles kept slapping her on the chest because she was panicking - of course the obvious way out for her would be to drop the whole lot. But no, the clematis was faaaaaaaaar too tasty....

Silly mare. She has about as much common sense as her owner

I reckon they are related. Corroy once picked up a massive branch in the field and kept galloping around as the leaves were frightening her

LOL! I reckon you're right - maybe Corroy is Ellie's Irish cousin!

Bless her you love her really! Love the bit about the plants, don't suppose your Mum is impressed mind!

Well.....I'm hoping she wont need to find out

I have plonked the two sticks back in, and am just going to hope that she doesnt notice the fact that the top half of the clematis is severed from the bottom half....

And if she does, I'll blame it on the wind

Lol about the plants. My foal (4 weeks) picked up her mother's fly fringe last week and ran around with it panicking about this purple and black thing flapping around her mouth - she didn't realise that all she had to do was to open her teeth and wretched thing would drop out!!!!
