My own horse is sadly broken and on box rest but a friend lent me her cob tonight and I had the best lesson as little cob tried really hard and worked really nicely, we even did some pretty good lateral work

Even more amazing as said cob has never really been schooled.

I'm going to be so sore tomorrow though as I've not ridden for nearly six weeks.

This really cheered me up as I've been so down about my boy being lame.

Sounds like you had a great time - it's great coming out of a lesson with a smile on your face

I had the my first lesson in ages this week as pony has had to have another injection for his Bone Spavin - I was so nervous that instructor might say he is still not right on a circle but he was fine and worked really hard for me.

However, he did buck me off twice

(it was excitement/naughtiness - definitley not pain) but I was still beaming from ear to ear - must be mad
