I've just made a police report

So glad you are both OK, it must have been extremely scary! You must be so proud of your ned. I hope they find the man!

Thank goodness you are both ok physically if not mentally.

Some people just dont seem to realise that not only could the horse die, but the rider could die too. I dont think they actually consider there own life and the impact their death may have on their family. They are too selfish for that.

What a complete t0sser of a man!! I'm so glad you and your horse are okay, what a wonderful horse you have too!! Give him a carrot from me :)
Hope they catch the scum bag.

Thanks for all your messages. I've spent the evening giving big cuddles to my boy. He seems completely fine and oblivious to my worry, and was especially chuffed to get lots of treats from my pockets, which he only usually gets after he's been turned out in the field.

I couldn't bare the thought of anything happening to him. I've only had him a year, but we've grown very attached to each other, and he is very special to me.

I'm going to park my car up in the same place it happened tomorrow morning, and just wait there. If I can get the reg, the Police will pay him a visit.
There wasn't any CCTV cameras on the area of road that it happened, although there are some half a mile down the road near the shops, but there are a couple of other roads that feed into this road, so he might not be on the footage and also because no one was injured and no accident actually occurred the police didn't seem to think they would be able to obtain the footage to identify the car.

I've also sent off a BHS road incident report, as suggested on here earlier today.

What an absolute ar*e. I absolutely cannot believe some people. I hope you and your fab horse are both OK and the police manage to track down the idiot.

Large brandy for you tonight and an extra carrot or two for your horse :D

The police are highly unlikely to identify this total t**t due to lack of evidence but your idea to sit up and see if he comes along the same road is an excellent idea. Make sure your pen is at the ready and even better a camera of some sort.

So glad you, and your paragon of a horse, are fine and in one piece.

I think we are all at risk riding on the roads these days which is a real shame :-(

This is bl00dy unbeleivable, the twisted little f£cker needs a tast of his own medicine.
Unfortunatly people like this will never be educated.
A Pedantic quote comes to mind.......
