Ive just won a loadsa money !

My hubby had a bet with me earlier this year that Northampton Town (yawn yawn football, but stick with it) would make it into the play offs, I said they wouldn't. Obviously being a woman I have no idea of how the league works. At the time they were in the play offs but at the final whistle of the season today they were 4, yes, 4 places below it. Just going to pick him up now and come home via the cash point so he can take out the ONE HUNDRED POUNDS that he now owes me. And god love him, he never goes back on a bet.

I got my saddle through a bet. The guy that owned the yard, and the saddle i was borrowing, put a bet on with me that one of his horses that we were loose schooling, wouldnt come down to a metre 60 fence. He did, and cleared it, and the saddle was mine!! Had a big smile on my face that day!!!

Embarrassingly enough, i dont know, saddle is english, but after that , i'm clueless. Very comfy, 18" wide, fitted the horse i had at the time. Poor boy was PTS last November, so saddle is out of action until i get something bigger that it fits. It really was of sentimental value to me, as it was my old horses saddle. I used to ride him for pat, the guy that owns the yard, god, i had some falls off that horse, but some fantastic moments too! I cried for 4 mths when he sold him, as he wouldnt sell him to me, as "he didnt want my death on his consience". Found the horse last yeaar, he's 19 now and in montana raching cattle. The guy that boughht him of pat at the time couldnt believe i ever hunted him, as he was crazy when hounds were involved. I fell off him more times, it wasnt funny, but i won every hunter trials i ever entered on him. Machine!! Sorry for ranting, it's amazing how i can go from talking about a saddle to this, but thats me, talk-a- holic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didnt mention that, well not after the first 52 times. Football is the only subject I can wind him up on. Bring on the world cup. Im going to put the money towards a Boett rug as she's a delicate little pitbull and I want her to walk round the field looking like a giant t-bag.
