ive lost my horses passport !!

I need a bit of advice please , I can not find my horses passport any where I have literally looked everywhere possible but no sign ... so I contacted weatherbys today & they want £35.00 for a replacement its not just that I would also have to get the vet out to remark him I mean they will know all this info with his life number & microchip surely . So would you do that or register him with somebody else if thats possible ?

You're not allowed to re-register as they are only supposed to have one passport. Weatherby's unfotunately are expensive!

I've just had to do that! Duplicate passport, vet call out, sketch and confirmation of the chip number. Total cost £80!

Whilst there is no NEDS, you could passport with another issuer as there's no way another issuer can get the information to link him to Weatherby's BUT you'd be breaking the Law and TBH, you wouldn't save that much because you'll still need to get the vet to do the sketch and pay the passporting fee anyway.

You're going to have to stump up i'm afraid!

I knew my passport was in the drawer yet couldn't find it took the drawer out and voila! it had gone down the back.

also check any bags etc you may have transported it in last time it travelled

Lost mine not long ago too, I knew I had put it back 'in a safe place' a bit too safe as I couldn't find it ! Eventually found it in a draw in my room..

Have a good look everywhere for it and try and think of the last time you had it before shelling out for a new one, if you ever do find the old one you will be gutted and have to send one back.
