And I thought some of you might like to know how the big cow is doing
The answer is extremely well!!
He is feeling a tad too well in fact, we have regular arguments about the fact that there is a pace in between walk and canter and tantrums when I win the argument
He is generally acting like a buzzy JA pony - going sideways, jogging everywhere, etc etc.
He is stabled overnight and has yet to come out of his box stiff. The only time he ever looks even slightly off in front is when he is turning sharpy on concrete and TBH he has never been hugely confident on concrete since he fell over on the yard after bolting and trying to turn sharply.
Gone are the days of him moping in the field trying to rest his front feet. He is now bombing about bucking and leaping like a prat (much to the dismay of my YO and her steadily browning fields
) He is striding out downhill rather than shuffling to protect himself and his tripping has almost completely stopped
All in all he is a very happy bunny at the moment, we seem to have found a way of managing him that works. The girls at the yard can't believe how well he moves in spite of all his issues. In fact I would almost say he is moving better and seems happier than he did before he tore his ligament!!
I will employ OH to get some shots of him soon, so I can bore you with a post dedicated his lordship
