Ive snapped the ballcock on the watertrough would this do?

Tonight, i lifted up the metal flap that protects the ballcock on the water trough so that i could break the ice around it freeing it up to do it's job.

The handle part of it that connects to the valve mechanism has snapped clean off, leaving me with a trough that dosent know when to refill!.

Ive looked at these ballcocks on Ebay, but reading the description, am not sure if it would work as it's designed for water tanks.

What do you think?

Just need to make sure that the diameter of the pipe & fittings are the same as your trough.
