she was a disciple of Mr. P. Parelli..................

i'm sorry, but there is NO WAY on earth i'll sell direct to THOSE people.......

if by some unfortunate twist of fate one of my sell-on's does end up with one of these idiots, i'd be mortified!!

OH actually agreed with me....even with his "Everything's For Sale" mentality.

Good on you JM. I would be mortified if anything I had dealings with ended up with those kind of people.

Its the attitude that shocks me the most, holier than thou, drives me nuts! Take some bl00dy advice when its given!

That would have scared them off!!!!

LOL, I've been there too! Actually it was the "friend" who was the disciple, but she was doing the trying as the purchaser had a broken wrist. My lad was having none of it and kept on trying to buck her off as well as being generally very naughty and refusing to cooperate. I had to go off and laugh where they couldn't see me, I found it so funny. Full marks to her - she didn't fall off and he tried damn hard to make her.

I was SO relieved when they phoned and said they didn't think he was the one for them. There's no way I could have let him go to them.

Haha, no parelli disciples lurking in here then! Now that could be a debate to avoid! Tbh I think horses just end up rude - what's wrong with a good smack when they need it!

Well, sorry but I think you have missed out on a trick there!!!

Your horsey would have loved that home...... doubtless he would never need to be ridden again, as they will be too nervous to actually get on bored.... and they would just make him shuffle about a bit and stuff him full of lovely things to make up for the fact that they feel failures!!!!

So you did baddddd.......(according to neddie)

Can i ask what it is about 'one of those people' that makes you not want to sell to them? Like what is it about what they do they would make your skin crawl to see them doing it with one of your horses? NOT that im a parelli fan- load of boll*ks the lot of it!

I wouldn't mind selling to a Parelli Person. The horse would never have to do a days work in it's life and if it was naughty they would blame it all on themselves. But the horse might end up a complete zombie.

Yup, headshy, rude, fat, braindead etc etc but to NH/Parelli home only!

When I read the title I knew it was something to do with NH people...!

I'd be the same as you though - I would NEVER sell Ali to a NH fanatic....

Ah yes, but that would be all your fault for not starting the horse off in the correct Parelli manner! The sellers would doubtless be able to get the horse over your terrible, insensitive handling if only they had the time/jockey/endless sums of money to spend on more Parelli related DVDs, painted sticks, macrame headcollars.........

Saying that a woman down the road from the yard is a parelli follower and her horse is looked after and schooled so well, she's not a Parelli Preacher tho

I've just had a thought. D'you think I could sell one of them my awkward boy instead of struggling to find the right home for him. He'd love having next to nothing to do for the rest of his life. They probably wouldn't find him awkward. He isn't if he can always get his own way.

Can't fault you. those people aren't happy unless the horse has given up on life and has no ability to think left! They are usually mud fat and sedated on every calmer going. IMO most horses would prefer a competent rider that wants to have FUN.
