Iveco living and horse area lights stopped working

Hi everyone!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I need some horse lorry help! My living area and horse area lights in my 6.5 ton 1996 Iveco have stopped working, I assume it must be a fuse as they've both stopped working at the same time, so I had a look in the fuse box but I'm confused about which fuse it could be... I've attached a picture, anyone had a similar problem and able to give me some advice? Its probably something simple but I have no idea about these things!!! :D

If nobody knows, no worries - just thought I would try on here first before taking it to the garage (again!)
 
Thanks Goldenstar, but it only has one battery - there is no Leisure battery as the living area is only very small and the only electric in there is the lights which run off the main battery (not really anything in the living except for a bed above the cab)..
 
If you don't know which fuse it is, remove each fuse in order, check and then replace. It's easy to see when it's blown - much like with a light bulb, there'll be break in the wire, just hold it up to the light and you'll see it.

Right , do you have the manual ?
Or if you look online you may be able to find the wring plan .
Did the light come on idependant of the side lights ?
If they do I think they may have another wire in to run the lights that where added it may come straight off the battery and have an inline fuse .
Have a look at the battery and see if you can see a wire coming off .

Unfortunately I don't have a manual, and been googling but cant see anything on the internet. The lights are supposed to work independent of sidelights, so it sounds like maybe there would be a wire straight off the battery as you say... By inline fuse does that mean a fuse in the wire itself? will I be able to see it? Sorry if these are silly questions!!

Goldenstar, I had a look at the battery (its taken a while due to lack of daylight and me being forgetful!) but none the wiser really... any thoughts?

Yes, let a mechanic sort it out for you. Friend had a lorry go up in flames recently, 12 minutes and nothing left other than warped framework.
 
Yeah, sounds like I might! I tried the iveco forum but no joy, I have a good mechanic fairly locally so will give them a shout. Was hoping it was something as simple as a fuse but not looking that way! :(
 
It looks as if you have a second low voltage cable (red) coming off the battery so may be worth checking connection as that may be the one that supplies the lighting. Also check each fuse in turn as well as the light switch. Alternatively an auto-electrician will be able to trace the fault.
 
Who is the body builder? Some put a master switch somewhere which will kill both living and horse lights. George smiths are very good for this. Usually a switch on the dash. Just a thought, someone might have accedently switched the master off.
 
It was built by Thorpe Horseboxes, and you could be right about a switch, there's a few unknown switches on the dash but I haven't managed to get any of them to make the lights work as of yet...
