If i end up getting an IW510 (which is looking highly likely) is it worth getting a tack pack?

I guess they sit at the front of the box..... do you have to take it out before unloading the horses? It looks like it will be in the way if left in??

I am trying to decide whether its worth getting one or sticking with just lugging gear in and out of the back of the car! :)

Also what about the mesh head guard? Are these worth it? Again they look like they have to be dismantled to get 2nd horse out

Thats all i needed to hear! I wont bother then, cant be arsed with moving in and out and one of my boys saddle is XW so it prob wouldnt fit or be a struggle!! :-/

Thanks :)

I keep the tack in the car and lots of other bits and bobs in a large wheely bin that I secure with bungees in the well at the front of the trailer. It stays in place all the time, and I have travel rugs, boots, first aid kit, jack, wheel brace, and a dozen other bit's of gubbins I only need when away from home.

Oo. This sounds like a good idea. Do you find it ok to get second horse off the front ramp with it there or do you just go off backwards?

I have no problems getting both out, as it sits in the very front of the opening.

I do need to swing the front partition to one side before I can unload the second pony, but you have to do that anyway...unless you have Shetlands in there :D

Wheely bins come in lots of different sizes and colours. I was hoping to get a yellow or red one, but in the end just got a green one that fits and put a few horsey stickers on it. Also, I NEVER leave it outside the trailer, unless I am there, as I don't want someone taking it away to empty it! Or some idiot dropping their rubbish in it (hence all the horsey stickers).

Why not get a trailer with a proper tack locker? I'm not a massive fan of IW trailers anyway, but I had a Pegasus Beta for years - wonderful trailer and the tack locker is great.
