We are going to view some pups at the weekend.
We live in a bungalow with a secure back yard - not massive but enough for a leg-stretch.
I am anticipating taking pup up to the yard with me morning and night once jabbed, and my OH works shifts so is often around during the day (I work 9 - 5 but close enough that I can come home at lunch if necessary). I am not averse to getting a second dog for company if it is required.
Any advice regarding amount of exercise and training required, or anything that we should watch out for etc?
Basically, any advice gratefully received.

sounds a very feisty cross, I have only known 2 Irish terriers - 1 was rehomed as novice owners couldn't cope, the other could never be let off a lead as it used to attack and run away (these were experienced owners)

Terriers are always on the go and generally need a fair bit of mental stimulation if they are not to make their own mischeif.

You would probably need to do quite a bit of training.
