Hi, Can anybody help??

It was brought to my attention that a Jack Russell was looking for a new home. She is about 1 - 2 and has been passed around several times already. She was purchased as a puppy by people completely unsuitable who then lost their home and has gone into a hostel. Since then she has been passed around to anyone that will have her. Her current home has been using her as a punch bag and their landlord has told them to get rid of her. To be fair to them they did try the RSPCA and local rescue but obviously they are already full to brimming so it was decided that they would drown her or break her neck!! i have pleaded with them not to do this so now desperately need to get her out of there. Does anybody know how Rescue's work so that i could try and get her into one? All my friends and family are asking people but it will be hard to find someone to take on an unspayed, unhouse trained dog that has never been walked or socialised and wets herslef when people approach her. I would keep her myself but I just do not have the time or room and I fear that my bitch would not get on with her as she is a rescue and very funny around other dogs.
Any help would be appreciated. I know this is just one dog and this is happening all the time but I can't just leave her.
Thanks for reading.

Sorry forgot that bit. She is in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire but I am willing to take her anywhere. I don't know alot about her but she has not been owned by nice people so she doesnt go on walks or get fed properly. I have been talking her food and she is a lovely girl, frightened at first but then very friendly. She is good with their children but I don't know if she has seen cats or other dogs. She is only small and never had injections etc. She isnt spayed but luckily they havent used her for breeding. I am trying to find someone to take her on a temporary basis so I can find out more about her. She isn't house trained. Poor little thing doesnt have much going for her really.

I think I'm probably too far away but will keep an eye on this thread and will work on hubby in case no-one closer can help. Dont suppose you have any pics - they always do well to pluck hubby's heart-strings LOL.

CazD just to let you know a friend has offered to take her. I am taking her to the vets for a check up then to her new home in Lincs tonight!!! She will be living on a massive farm and will be well and truly spoilt.

So pleased to see your last post, I've only just read this thread and was about to pack up my desk, jump in the car and come and get her. LB will be pleased I don't have another dog in tow when I get home tonight - probably so will OH!

Well done for getting her out. I really fail to understand how the minds of these scum bags work - I know she was 'only a dog' to them but makes you wonder and hate to think how they are towards the kids. (sorry if speaking out of turn just makes my blood boil)
