Hi,

My friend is competing in her first season on affiliated dressage and is doing really well (jealous me?!). She's been wearing her old hunt coat up to now but wants to buy a new jacket as her wool one is a bit warm and worn around the edges.

She needs a dressage makeover! The problem is neither of us really know much about dressage fashions. Where is the borderline between chav and bling?!

It has to be black to match her hat but apart from that no other requirements. Reccomendations please!!

Hi

Pikuer do some really good quality, lovely cut jackets and you can get them with a silver or gold trim around the collar. Adds a little sparkle

Caldene jackets are really smart too! Not sure if you can get coloured trim around the collar on these though

Hope this helps! X

Pikuer is lovely, I have both a black and tweet jacket from them and they're really comfy and good quality too. A bit expensive but worth it IMHO.

OOOOHHHH yes, Pikeur Diana - I have a black one with a raspberry velvet collar!! Just make sure she tries before she buys as they do a shorter and longer version (if she is taller she will most likely need the longer version).
I got mine for £80 on ebay, only worn once and fairly immaculate - keep an eye out for a bargain!!

Yep, mine is also the Pikeur Diana, but the shiny material. It was more expensive but the only one in the shop that fit.

It is for the longer rider. But I will say that if you go for the Diana, it is best to try it on as the sizes are wierd and I got a totally different size to what I thought I was...
