Hi all, possibly a bit of a thick question, but I'm wondering if it matters what colour jacket I get to hunt in? I've done the last five seasons in a tweed jacket as I didn't think my black jacket with silver buttons would really be appropriate ;) My mum has offered to get me a nice thick, warm jacket specially for hunting as my christmas present. I wasn't sure if it matters about getting a black one or a navy one. xx

For years I wanted a navy one and thought they looked the smartest. However, I have just bought a black one! I think they look less "girly" and just.... better. Funnily enough that change of mind has coincided with getting married! Interesting......

A friend had one made recently by Frank Hall in Market Harborough and apparently they told her that both are "correct" but that black is "more correct" (if such a thing is possible).

haha thats an interesting one...I quite like the look of a navy one, but then I have to get a new cover for my black hat to match. ooo its more trouble than going for a night out! Also, would it look silly with a chestnut pony?

I prefer navy, most women i know wear navy but when i bought my jacket mears were behind 3 months on the navy ones and i needed it pronto so i bought black. :)
