I have to say, I feel a *little* bit sorry for her. Her husband sounds like SUCH an idiot and I bet he's not going to get any nookie for a LOOONNNGGG time

. I don't agree with her policies on a lot of things, but I'm cringing for her at the moment.

I am not I expect she signed the claim and therefore is guilty and should resign . I expect she will have the full support of the PM until someone better comes along.!!!!!!

I don't at all. IME experience you get an itemised broadband phone bill so you know what has been downloaded, and it would at least have shown the channel! Assuming it did, then whoever agreed/counter signed her expenses also needs looking at!

I have no sympathy for her at all. Not only has she been claiming expenses for a house she shouldn't have, she is now claiming for her husband's pornography?! And all at our expense?!

That woman is absolutely useless, she doesn't appear to have achieved anything in her role and now she is fraudulently claiming expenses to boot... And for the PM to openly support her says a lot about the attitude of this whole Govt.

No, I don't feel sorry for her either. She is either incredibly stupid or incredibly lax in not checking her own expenses claims. There are some areas of life where falsely submitting expenses claims for things you should not claim for would be regarded as fraudulent and criminal charges would follow, and saying "someone else did it" would not be regarded as a valid defence. I cannot imagine myself or anyone I know submitting such a claim at work and getting away with it as easily as she has done.

The whole present Government seems to be full of total mediocrity and they almost seem to be laughing at the country.

I'll bet he's not HAD any nookie for a long time hence the adult movies........

Agree with chestnut Cob.

I think she knowingly put the claim in, but hoped she wouldn't get caught. I bet if they went back through her previous claims, they'd find other stuff.

I agree with you. She must feel so humiliated! She is no worse than any other MP; she just got caught out. I am no fan of hers, but I do feel a little sorry for her - as well as amused!

Yet another corrupt member of a corrupt govermnent

No, she's not. She is not breaking any laws or any rules. And it is the rules that allow these expenses to be claimed that is the ass here.

However, I expect she'll resign before the end of the month as her position is becomming untenable.

It is that combination of sympathy and laughter which is such political poison to her

It is not true that she is no worse than any other MP. They do not all claim as much in the way of expenses and allowances, though it is open to them to do so. Just because the rules allow it does not remove an MP's responsibility to have a social consience and moral compass. Have you calculated how much we have to earn gross to pay for her tax free expenses alone?

Hi, all friends,

No matter what our political views are, this woman is a serious embarrassment to the UK.

Any leader worth his/her salt would surely dismiss her from the Cabinet ASAP. I, for one, will actively encourage debate on this topic amongst our local community, and hope others will also.

Oh, + best bit - can't wait to share the jokes!! Got friends all over UK!!!

wow rose tinted glasses...........anyone remember conservative mp and black bin bags in the 80's..............?

i wonder if that was on the expenses?
