Has anyone else found that they stretch? I started riding on hole 9 for flat work, whereas now I'm riding on hole 14 or 15 for flatwork. I don't *think* my legs have got shorter, nor do I think that I'm likely to be riding shorter, bearing in mind that in photos my feet actually look lower than they did before. I'm now going to have to punch extra holes in for jumping as they don't go up short enough.

I thought they were supposed to be non-stretch?! For £70 I expected them to be a bit better TBH.

I have some Harry Dabbs, the soft hide ones for use on a swade (sp) show saddle, they have stretched and also i have had to have them stitched along the seams, and as they have only been used for shows you would think they would be in better condition, not that good imo.

Oh bummer it's not just me then. I can still use them, but I'll have to put extra holes in, and the flap end is now very long and rubs holes in Ronnie's coat, which is probably very irritating for him. Will have to see if saddler can chop the ends off. Oh, I wonder if saddler can shorten them at the buckle end...

That sounds an awful lot of stretching!!! I have Jefferies ones which are fine and haven't stretched noticeably

I would take them back! Like you say, at £70, they hardly seem fit for purpose. Try taking them back to the retailer in the first instance, and if you each do it and they all get sent back to the manufacturer, they should acknowledge there's a problem (especially as they're not that worn in many instances) and should rectify it...unless of course, they want to establish a bad reputation!

Good luck everyone (and thanks - I have been considering which ones to buy!)
