Hello, does anyone own Jaguar leathers and if so tell me how thick they are? I currently own passier leathers and they're lovely but too thick for my ideal saddle, they are hard to put on and take off and to adjust. I was wondering how thick the Jaguar leathers are... Thanks in advance for any replies :)

Thanks for your replies, it's so difficult finding just the right ones, I had stubben previously thickness wise they were great but unfortunately there were 58" so became too long (they did stretch abit unfortunately) my passier one's are good quality size 54" but way to thick and I find it really difficult getting them back on the saddle once I have taken them off so much it deters me from cleaning my tack because I just loose the will to live trying to get them back on lol.

Sorry that should of been lose the will to live not loose lol, didn't spell check my post naughty naughty lol.

Soo anyone out there who can also shed some light on the subject? Thanks :)

bumping this, anyone else?

I bought some jaguar leathers and they're thick BUT I can get them on my saddle alot easier as they're firm, the problem I had with the passier leathers was that they were too soft so I couldn't slip them under the stirrup bar and they didn't have any rigidity to push them on (if that makes sense) whereas the jaguar I can push them on.

Will be interesting to see how I get with them once I try them out but I've managed
to get them on the saddle which is a good start lol :)

I have a pair of these, i hate them :( they fit onto the saddle bars fine- but my stirrups have to be down all the time as they are litteraly stuck at the bottom of the leathers and wont budge!
Maybe different stirrups have bigger/smaller holes for leathers to go through?

I have a pair of them and love them! Fantastic quality and like the buckle thingy on them

They are quite thick but I manage (With a little fight) to get them on my Pariani saddle which is normally a nightmare with very little space around the bar. I can also adjust them without tooooo much hassle ;)

Arr I have sprenger stirrups which have quite a wide hole so the leathers seem to go through ok luckily.

I have a pair and they are the best leathers I have ever had. They are the non stretch type, never considered them as being thick, I get them on and off saddle with ease and run irons up without any problem...but I think all saddles are slightly different? As previous saddle was always a pain to get the leathers off and on, no matter what make or thickness...

I have just bought a pair and they are lovely. A bit stiff especially when adjusting, but already becoming softer after a couple of rides, and I did manage to adjust them while mounted without too much difficulty yesterday - I think they just need to wear in a bit. Stirrup runs along them easily. Mine are the plain leather ones not the ones with a nylon core though - I think that might make a big difference?
