I have a 16.2 Hanoverian mare, in a medium fit Isabelle Werth saddle. Someone told me that Jaguar saddles seem to fit TB horses more, as they arent designed for horses with shoulder.

Does anybody konow how true this is? I would love one for my mare, and would of course have it professionally fitted but wanted personal opinion too.

I'm not an expert, and have a skinny TB. I was sold one while I was at a SJ yard, and told it was the best thing, then a year later, after no significant change in my horse, was told it didn't fit, and they were really for warmblood types.

Does anyone have any comments with regards to confort? I have long legs, espically from point of hip to knee, and dont find the isabelle supportive enough...

Marinita, may I ask what size gullet your saddle has?

I have a 16.2hh Dutch warmblood horse who I rode in a Bates Isabell Werth saddle for two years - like your horse, he was a medium fitting.

About 18 months ago, I had him fitted for a new saddle and I settled on the Jaguar XKC. He had a medium fitting. Just had it re-checked and it still fits fine.

I would try loads of different makes and models of saddle to ensure you get one that fits you both perfectly.
 
I have the Jaguar xkc in a wide fit, it fits my MW Shire x TB x ID perfectly and has done with minor adjustment for the last 6 years. It was made to measure and you can have different length flaps to suit you. My saddle isnt deap seated again to do with the shape of my horse but my friends is and its so so comfy.
 
i have a ridiculously wide event horse with shoulders like sand bags and the only saddle we tried on him (out of about 20 different types!) was the Jaguar.

I also have a 16.1 Belgium Warmblood with high withers- is it likely to fit him too with adjustment? He is in a Kieffer at present.

If you were to choose bewteen the passier lenox and jaguar dressage, what would the outcome be? As I am tall, the lenox is another possibility...

i have the harry dabbs elegant and it was the only saddle that looked like it had been 'made' for my TB horse lovely fit, and good quality saddle very pleased with mine!!
