jail time for driver who rammed van into horse

I agree although her hands were somewhat tied as he admitted dangerous driving rather than the CPS prosecuting for anything that would come under The Offences Against a Person Act where the vehicle is intentionally used to cause harm...:(

The article states that he did get a 12mth ban in addition to 10mths custodial (will prob serve 5) and must take an extended retest... It was a 'white van'...

Thanks for posting, looks like he is a habitual headdick from others post's :mad:

Good on the judge!!

I know the guy was an absolute tool but;
"The prosecutor told the court that Miss Watmough had put up her right hand, with her palm out flat, to signal to the driver to slow down, but he made no effort to do so and skidded to a halt."

Is this not the signal to stop?

What a shame she wasnt the judge for our case! Then maybe the driver in our accident wouldnt be walking around free as a bird now!!!!

The happy follower of the religion of peace was also convicted of selling heroin. That's quite a boy who I hope enjoys a long time in jail as the wife of his new best friend...I had a friend who had a run in with a similar driver. Her brother (Army Sgt.) and his mates were on leave from Afghan. and were behind the driver who was giving his sister hell. They spoke with him quite a bit after telling her to get back to her riding. She bought them all drinks and married one of her protectors.

Sometimes revenge is best served when really hot and steaming vs. cold.

I've read this article now and have put the details, including the judges name, into the ferocious letter I've written to Taunton Crown Court. Beverly Lunt is a 'proper' judge - one that doesn't have her head up her arse.
