Patty..

Maybe you can clear this up for me?
Exactly when can the Gray family appeal their sentences?

Should think the ones he owns may well be sold off so as to foot the legal bill?
Or do the RSPCA get them because he is now banned?

The RSPCA and SSPCA I think should have more power to act and the sentencing allowed should be a lot tougher. Especially for deliberate cases.

[/ QUOTE ]
Good god no,a charity as up it;s own arse as the RSPC with more power? *shudders*

What we do need is to take crimes against animals just as seriously as those against people with a dedicated section of the police force to enforce the animal wellfare act.

As for JG,no amount of time served would be long enough, but I agree with HH that not being able to live his life as he choose to before will hurt most,it's not all about prison time

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree - but don't see that happening any time soon

[ QUOTE ]
I think the ban on any of the family keeping animals is significant enough in the short term.

What will happen to the ones he currently owns?

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. And was also wondering about the animals that he still has.

The RSPCA/Charitiy/Police will no doubt officially impound any horses they still have.

I bet the paperwork was done and dusted before the sentence was handed down.

May the entire family rot in hell.

[ QUOTE ]
I believe in the US they can hand out the custodial sentence for each count of animal cruelty, i.e. per horse. Such a pity they don't seem to be able to do that here.

[/ QUOTE ]

My thoughts exactly, he should have received 24 months for every dead horse that was found on the property. Each one was an innocent life lost and each one must have gone through their own personal hell, so each one of them should have been recognised.

[ QUOTE ]

I hope the Gray's die a slow and painful death and rot in hell for what those disgusting people have done.

[/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't agree more - just wish animal cruelty was taken more seriously in the UK .
