I couldn't read it all either.
I did not realise any horses were left there. Does anyone know for fact how many are there? What condition they are in? Is JG still dealing?
Were post mortams done on the first dead horses? Anyone know the outcome or is it all evidence?
Our little Woody was bought from JG at Melton sales. Only seen a pic of him today and realised who it is. I am soooooo shocked.

A copy of my post on a previous thread...
According to a trading standards spokesman, preliminary post mortem results showed the "fresh bodies" of the carcasses collected from Spindles Farm had died from emaciation.
Around my area, the abatoirs and governing bodies only remain closed for a few days over the christmas and new year period. This is why I find it very difficult to understand how one, let alone a number of horses could actually starve to death over such a short period.
I've tried to stay neutral regarding this case, but I'm now beginning to find it very difficult to remain "sitting on the fence".... so think it best if I make this my last post on the subject and just wait for the court verdict.
People have over the last couple of months posted that there are traffic with horses at the farm but there is nothing anyone can do,he is free to do so until the trial is over, maybe another dead horse at the farm will finally make people realise whats going on,but the MINUTE facts about the family is posted people get shot done by certain a member(s)
Its sick and very upsetting to hear about more deaths, but you cant make a leopard change its spot
I am now jumping back on to the fence that i finished building this morning
Even though its funny that i have jumped on one and people are starting to jump down realising whats been going on all along
Haven't there been other dead horses found on his premises away from Spindles Farm though? 2 found shortly after the original rescue, and another few more recently?
(Sorry, not had a chance to find the links)
I'm sure I recall the RSPCA saying they couldn't comment due to the ongoing prosecution, but that they weren't taking any action over the more recent finds as it couldn't be proven that they were his horses - ie, could have been dumped in his field. I think it was fields he rented, so I suppose it's possible.
He definately has horses in his fields - has had for a while. Some coloured's & some that look like youngsters. As many people have said, there's no law stopping him.
JG had 53 horses on the land in chalk lane as of monday 12th may. One dead horse was removed for post mortem.
am a resident of hyde heath and this info came 1st hand from rspca inspector.
horses vary at the mo, number of palaminos, but few of everything not many coloureds that we can see at the mo. Cant see that many though - believe some to be in the barns on the land that u cant see into easily
should have said that village is monitoring situation - but unfortunately it seems nothing more can be done until the outcome of the trial. RSPCA is regularly informed of happenings at Spindles farm be it horse movement, condition of horses, state of field and fencing etc. Of the horses seen on mon they were said to be in 'fair' condition. I wait for december....fingers crossed

People need to ask H&H as to why the PM results report was removed from this site?
Obiviously certain people were not aware that this was reported elsewhere so thats why it's still on that site.

As usual PW - you are speaking from the wrong end of your body.

JG called a vet out on the 12th of may and had also been intouch with the person who collects fallen stock - the recovery man had arranged to collect the horse between 3/4 pm that day. The rspca knew this but still took the horse away. ALOT more went on that day but I am not going to put it on a public forum. Besides the vet there were 3 seperate witnesses who rushed to the farm to be witnesses for JG. Two of these witnesses are villagers.
And as for the dead horses in other locations - they were nothing to do with JG - but hey, I don't expect people to believe this.

Maybe it was taken off this site because the post mortem is being used as evidence by the prosecution. Or are you suggesting trading standards where lying in that report?
Either way, I will be making enquiries to H&H about it.

H&H are not stupid - they would not publish anything which would/could/will be used as evidence. - make your enquiries and maybe they will tell you why the report was removed.
A FARM owner has been warned he could go to prison after being convicted of assaulting a police officer.
James Gray, 44, of Spindle Farm in Hyde Heath, near Amersham, today had his sentencing adjourned until June 10 while pre-sentence reports are compiled.
He was found guilty of assaulting PC James Metcalf at Aylesbury Magistrates Court on May 6, despite not turning up to court.
The incident happened on January 4 when police officers and RSPCA officers went to his farm following reports about "issues relating to horses".
Julia Jeanes, prosecuting, told the court today that PC Metcalf had felt concerned for his safety after Gray threatened to release a Rottweiler dog on him.
She said Gray later pushed him up against the dog's cage as he attempted to arrest him for slashing the tyres of an RSPCA vehicle.
The court heard Gray told PC Metcalf: "Come anywhere near me and I'll nut you".
Chloe Fordham, defending Gray, said: "There were no aggravating features. Particularly, there was no weapon used. It was an impulsive action and there were no injuries caused to the officer.
"He was in a very stressful situation at time", she added.
Maureen Lissauer, chairman of the bench, adjourned the sentencing until June 10 and warned Gray "The offences are of so serious a nature we want custody to be considered."
