Has anyone had lessons with Jane? We have just moved up to elementary BD but not very established at level and looking into training options. I tend to like a trainer who is quite technical, ie. can tell me what actions I physically need to take to achieve a result rather than just telling me for example to 'ride it down the rein' then leave me to try to work out how I am supposed to achieve that! Also would prefer someone who will shout at me and be very critical, i have no ego to pander to! Any thoughts on Janes teaching would be very much appreciated. PM me if preferred.

Fresh baked carrot cake on offer- counts as one of your 'five a day' -honest!

She is simply amazing.

You are very lucky to be close to her and I am very jealous. I have just moved out of the area and the only thing I miss is lessons with Jane.

She turned my horse around from a stressed out bossy camel who couldn't even canter a circle to a horse that I can take out to novice dressage tests. I know two people that have gone to BD regionals who train with her. She doesn't take any short cuts and is very sympathetic to the horses. One word of warning is that she makes you work very hard!!

I cried when I had my last lesson with her :-(

Ditto, they are both excellent. Lovely way with the horses, really focused lesson time, always leave having improved and feeling good, knowing what I need to work on at home. They are busy though can be hard to get a slot.
I also have lessons from Libby at www.longstylestud.co.uk and do the Michael Beining clinics and would highly recommend them too.

Thanks everyone. Exactly the replies I was hoping for :D lesson booked for 17th :) have just joined new RC where she does clinic once a month so really looking forward to some regular lessons. Thanks again, very excited now!

Does that mean you've joined Delamere? Or another? I ask because I'm in delamere so I'd say welcome! We run most of our events at Richard and Jane's yard. They are both fantastic but don't take any prisoners! Absolutely no slacking allowed :D you learn one heck of a lot, whatever level you're at :)

I hope you enjoy your lesson. I had lessons off Richard for ages and loved them, he had me jumping stuff I never thought I would! Never had lessons off Jane (I didn't 'do' dressage then) but always heard good things, if you're prepared to work hard you like it :)
