I am hoping for some help to locate Jane Glenn. I know this is probably a long shot!

Jane Glenn worked for Horse and Hound MANY years ago, and published a book in 1996 called "Gone to Stud". Jane worked for my mother in Australia in the 1970s on a very well known Arabian Stud "Chip Chase Park" . My mother was extremely fond of Jane and thought so very highly of her and we often wonder what became of Jane, as sadly we lost touch. Mum is now 85 and would dearly love to make contact again with Jane.

So hard being the other side of the world. I have tried Facebook to no avail. Any suggestions or help would be fantastic.

Thank you so much

Amanda Kemp (nee Roydhouse)

I googled her name and it seems the book is still available so it may be worth contacting the publishers to see if they would forward a letter as I guess they must have her contact details, http://halebooks.com/jaallen/

The other detail that came up but went nowhere, although some basic contact details showed there was no obvious website, was that she was stud secretary at the Littleton stud, it may be worth trying to follow her through there, not sure if this is new info for you but hope it helps if it is.

This has bugged me all morning. After replying to bump the thread I realised the name sounds familiar, but as yet I can't place her.

I hope I don't prevent you from sleeping tonight!!

I know she worked for Horse & Hound magazine. She worked on studs in Australia in the 1970s. I think she would be around 60 at a guess?

She seems to have worked at Littleton Stud in Hampshire and has published a book "Gone to Stud". That is about the only information I have at the moment.

I hope something pops up ! Thank you for your help :)

OP I'm pretty close to Littleton and have a YO who seems to know everyone and is a similar age to Jane so I will make some enquiries.

Hi everyone so far. I have had heard from H&H, but they were unable to provide any information. Shame, hopefully something might come up eventually, you just never know. Thank you for all of your help x

Is there any chance your mother can remember how she paid her? If it was through a bank then she could write to the bank with an enclosed letter for them to forward. We managed to find my Uncle this way after everything else had failed.
