Thank you for your lovely comments. Going to bed without her last night was strange. I fell asleep not long after 9pm and slept well. Think the day had caught up with me a bit and worn me out.

We can’t get over how quiet and empty the house is. We still have 2 noisy little dogs but it just feels so desolate without JD. Picking up 2 bowls instead of 3 this morning for breakfast felt strange. Everything just feels odd and empty.
They really do leave a huge hole don’t they?

Bess and Lily-Rose are a bit lost and confused. They’ve never known life without JD so are looking for her, which pulls on the heart strings a lot.

God I miss that big dog so much. She has barely left my side for 15 and a half years. I feel like I’m missing a limb.

Oh Scats, so so sorry. It’s the very worst but what a lovely life and relationship.

JD’s ashes are home now. My Dad very kindly collected them from the vets before.
Strange feeling.
