Jefferies 5 point Competition Breastplate

Yes and yes IMO! But wouldnt pay anymore than £115, as you can get hold of them for that much!

I got mine for less as am jammy, but I love mine. They are quite generously sized though

The Jeffries really is only a generous cob size which is fine for a competition horse build but if your horse is chunky/cobby then i recommend the Equipe one from Equestrian clearance Warehouse (£125) as it comes up much bigger. If you are using a breastgirth and a breastplate to keep the saddle in place then they are worth every penny otherwise you might as well save £££ and stick with a regular breastplate- ECW have some lovely ones!

I'm looking to get one of these soon (my birthday is looming

) but I'm a bit worried now it wont fit my mare, she is a 16h TB with deep chest and shoulder but still usually wears a cob size... might get one from a shop rather than online and make sure it fits...

On the black leather one what colour is the elastic? anyone know?

The elastic is the same colour regardless, dark blue with yellow (small) stripes. I imagine it will fit your mare Scarlett as she doesnt sound dissimilar to my horse!

Thanks KatB - she is still growing too so even if a bit big now it'll fit eventually I hope... local shop have it in so planning to go have a nosey over the weekend and will take current breastplate with us to compare...
