Sorry guys - totally missed this post.
I have not heard anything more from the police and it's on my list of things to do this week so I need to call them today.
As for how it's left us feeling, although I'm at home in the day and my daughter is on study leave we don't like to take the horses out in the day. We try only go to out if my husband is at home and preferably with the car on the drive so that he can come to us quickly.
I've spoken to a couple of the more unruly elements in the village and they are looking for the car and driver but no-one has seen it yet. We have a large number of migrant workers here and although from this woman's facility with English bad language I'm sure she is native it is possible that she wasn't from this area.
