JENT - Equine Therapy???

This is a new one to me, but there is someone doing the rounds in this area waving red lights at horses' and "curing" them of seemingly everything

Now I'm not averse to alternative treatments, but can anyone shed any light (yeah, pun intended) on this? Would be glad of any insights

I think they use light therapy stuff like this in posh facials dont they ??

lol I've never had any facial (unless you count soap and a flannel) let alone a posh one!

I'm pretty open minded too, but I like there to be some science somewhere behind things, rather than a load of guff. I'm just a little wary of this as there's some bloke going round locally atm who I know doesn't know one end of a horse from the other, and he is "treating" horses which imo should be being diagnosed properly by a vet, and telling owners not to go to the vet until he has finished treating them

Which is why I'm interested in getting as many views as possible, and the lack of replies on here (the biggest horsey forum in the universe) is bothering me!!

He's not charging anything at the moment because he is using them as case studies for his certification as a JENT practitioner - I assume he has done the initial 3 day training course

I don't have a problem with someone going round waving a little red torch at horses, but as I understand it, this "therapy" is meant to be complementary to veterinary (and other) treatment AFTER a diagnosis has been made. I'm a little uncomfortable with him putting people off getting that veterinary diagnosis though.
