Jeremy Clarkson’s bred a litter

Mum does not look great.

Odd way to be sat too, almost like she does not want the pups to feed off her.

I imagine they must have had veterinary attention though, being so heavily in the public eye.
Whatever you think of Jezza, the whole set up is so firmly in the public eye there is no question that he will have received plenty notifications about the bitch, and he’ll definitely have his vets in re TB, if nothing else!
Sadly, pups do sometimes die, as do tens of thousands of cattle from TB diagnosis, annually - about time that was in the public eye, too.

My clumber bitch gave birth to 11, took one look and decided motherhood wasn’t for her! Took about four days of insisting that she fed them for a really poor effort of maternal interest to kick in. She would ALWAYS leap out of w helping box with any/ no excuse…..they all lived but it wasn’t easy!

From what I've watched, Clarkson doesn't seem to hesitate to get vets or those more knowledgeable involved when it comes to his animals. So hopefully he will have things sorted. He does seem to care about them and generally does listen to others about the animals. I haven't watched everything though.

Some animals (dog, horse...human) just aren't naturally maternal. Or they have complications regardless of having the best care. This is why breeding is risky and can be quite heartbreaking. You can try your best, and still run into issues.

Hoping for the best for mum and pups.

I've just met Lisa and the other lab bitch this morning. The other one looked superb and full of beans. Lisa was as ever a lovely, warm person. I didnt want to ask about the puppies and come off like a weird stalker! I always feel so strange being on their land even though its public footpath anyway.

I'm pleased to hear she's as nice as she comes across on TV and also that she is actually hands on and doesn't just turn up for the cameras. 😏

She was out feeding the pigs with her son this morning, so was definitely being hands on and no cameras to be seen. Harvesting was stopped for the day so I assume they were at the pub or gone home for the weekend. Friday they were filming and had the drones up and it was all go.

Oh dont, we all regularly take the mickey out of people going to the shop and people from the nearby campsite tiptoeing around taking photos, and somehow I've ended up on HHO giving a running report of the comings and goings 🙈 😂😂 Nothing of note to report today, it looks like harvest has been paused and the film crew are elsewhere, at the pub probably. There tends to be a flurry of stuff going on, drones up and film crew all over then nothing for weeks. It must interfere with harvest and things as they dont appear to get much done farm wise on filming days.

I am staying at the campsite in Septemeber, so I might bump into you while I'm tiptoeing around taking photos 😂.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the inside scoop. You might accidentally end up on the programme!
