Jeremy Kyle to present racing for itv

Well he knows a lot about it, and is an owner. I don't watch his show but when they interview him at the races he seems lucid enough.
I want Nick Luck though.

The initial report when it was announced that itv were taking over, said they were looking for a celebrity presenter. The few times I have dipped in to the Jeremy Kyle show it has not been for me.
However I have seen him interviewed at the races and he seemed sensible and informed.

I like him a lot. The JK show is car crash telly and all a bit bonkers, but some of the other stuff he's done is very good and he is a real racing fan & knows his onions. Just not sure about him fronting the racing.

I must admit, when I saw him being interviewed during Cheltenham last year I had no idea he was interested in racing. However, Im not sure that his style of interviewing would translate to racing very well. God help anyone who was caught misbehaving, he'd be able to make a whole new show off the back of any misdemeanours :)

I did a bit more digging. The telegraph article was from last Jan & the most recent suggestion comes via the Daily Star so you can read into that what you want.
