Jerry update...new symptom

Its so frustrating not having a clue whats wrong, and he is so uncomplaining, at least with Hector at the slightest discomfort he would look like he was dying, there was no chance you could miss anything, with Jerry I feel like I have to watch him like a hawk just to notice any problems

Right, the news is, the vet had the results from the cultures taken from his bladder, and the antibiotics we were using were the wrong ones, but the penicillin she put him on yesterday is the right one. Bloods are still normal, so not looking like a kidney infection, she said it might just be a case of cystitis with no other factors (very rare in horses) that had got really bad, so she will be keeping him on a very tough course of penicillin, and keep testing his urine/blood to see how he goes

Fingers crossed that this will sort it for you. I know when Murph had a respiratory infection it took 3 different lots of antibiotics before the vet found the right one (which needless to say was the most expensive!). Hope you see an improvement in Gerry soon.
