Jess seems to be completely back to her old self today. Yesterday the vet was pleased with her as she was certainly better than on Saturday. She has anti biotics and anti inflammataries (sp) and is due to go back on Thursday.
We still have no idea what was wrong. We and the vet are thinking that she was just starting an infection/illness of some sort, but by getting anti biotics into her we have prevented anything developing.
Fingers crossed that she continues to progress.
Mind you I am still completely mystified, and I think the vet is too.

Talking to someone today and they said was she stung/bitten by anything. She said that maybe she was and it was a reaction to it.
Guess I'm clutching at straws.

Have you checked for Ticks? They can be nasty and cause serious health problems.A few years ago my Collie who was then 8 months was seriously ill and nearly died.Vet thought he must have eaten rat poison but there was no evidence of this.Eventually after many investigations,i was looking for lumps when to my surprise i found a dead dried up tick on his neck which all the Vets had missed. He survived only because the treatment for poison was identical to that needed for Ticks, including Dexamethasone which i felt was the essential life saver.I had to get up every hour to give Sky Lectade and this nursing care also helped.Ironically the Vets refused to agree that the Tick caused his illness, despite them offering no plausable alternative diagnosis.

Yes, checked for ticks. We are off to the vets today for her check up, but she is absolutely fine now, thank goodness.
My instincts now are that she was maybe stung or bitten by something and had a reaction, but will speak to vet this morning. The main thing is that she is now back to normal.
