Had a few problems with my pony the last few months. Will just cut a long story short and tell you breifley!
Brought him jan 10' time. VERY good boy. Does everything, bombproof. very safe, hacks alone in company. really tries his hardest to please.
Had a new saddle in june. Had problems early oct. bucking (which he never does.) Jig jogging, and pulling him up from jigjogging seemed to make him buck and just get in a temper.
Had his saddle checked, was fine. Back done. fine. Got on him, still doing it.
Had the dentist out. He did need doing, but the dentist said he'd be surprised if it was his teeth making him play up. Had them done. Got on a couple of days after he was like a different pony! Ridden him in the school for upto 45 mins, he hasnt put a foot wrong. no sillyness. couple of friends have ridden him too and he was an angel.
Hacked and he's started doing it again! but ONLY hacking out. He will jig jog because he wants to trot. but when i pull him up he gets in a temper and does a very little buck (little tubby pony, lot of effort to buck honestly!
) then tries cantering on the spot - sort of thing. and i just CANNOT stop him jigjogging! I tried stopping him dead.. it worked a little but not much at all. he just gets so worked up when i ask him to walk. What can i do? hes perfect in the school. he also does it in company aswell as along, doesnt do it if im not on his back. Do you think maybe he needs a good blast? He did it in an open field today but he's also done it on the roads before and on a bridlepath. It's got to the point where i dont want to hack out far now.
