Hi everyone,

Tomorrow I have a job interview at a local saddlery and I was wondering what would be appropriate to wear? I don't want to go too dressy and look a bit OTT as at the end of the day it's only a saddlery not an office job. Also do you guys have any ideas of what questions that they might ask, eg. Bits and tack. Just wouldn't wanna be caught of guard. Btw I'm female lol

Thanks in advance :)

Could have sworn i've seen that username before! :o

ANYWAY, Personally, i'd just go dressed neat, hair tied up/plaited. I think, and this is a guess, that the questions may be about knowledge and then about yourself.
However, i've never worked in a saddlery so don't know. Good luck! :D

I would say something that you feel comfortable in as long as it is clean and tidy that should be fine. I work in recruitment for Joules and when we did the assessment centre for our shows staff we asked them to wear smart casual so smart jeans and a polo shirt or a nice top. It is first and for most a customer service role you are going for so they will probably ask you to give examples of where you have provided good service or maybe experienced good service. They will also look for examples of team work and flexibility/ ability to think on your feet. With regard to product knowledge I can't help but I think a general knowledge of all things horsey would do as they should provide training on specifics to ensure you give correct info.

Good luck :)
