Prompted by a new member asking about careers with horses, I mused that when it comes down to it, there are hundreds of jobs not actually working full time with horses in traditional roles, but related. Jobs which would satisfy someone who wants to maintain their interest and which need some knowledge, but don't involve day to day equid contact.
Any ideas?

H&H journo? :p

I did lab-based equine research for years, I was very glad it didn't involve horse contact as they'd have been in bits in my freezer!

Hollywoozle has my ideal job which is selling riding holidays. Definately a great way of getting your horsey fix without being hands on

In a long and chequered past:
Equestrian Marketing
Trade Stand Manager
NVQ Assessor
Event Organiser
Equine Facilitated Development Coach
Equestrian Sales - products/advertising/sponsorship

:D

I guess you would call me a 'Travel Advisor' for the family business selling horse riding holidays. I talk about horses all day and get to ride abroad several times a year but am not directly working hands-on with horses on a day to day basis. :)
